COSMETIC WHITENING
Opalescence Boost, an in-office whitening treatment, provides beautiful, long-lasting results. This whitening features a chemically activated formula that allows your dentist to whiten your teeth without heat or ultraviolet rays of a light. Opalescence Boost also contains potassium nitrate and fluoride, which help to improve oral health by strengthening enamel, decreasing sensitivity, and offering increased cavity prevention. The in-office procedure is safe and effective, and offers a brighter, whiter smile after one appointment.
WHITE FILINGS
Resin composite fillings are made of ceramic and plastic compounds. Because resins mimic the appearance of natural teeth, these fillings have been used in front teeth for years. When they first appeared, however, resin compounds weren’t strong enough to be used in back teeth, where high-pressure grinding and chewing require greater durability. In the past 10 years, technology has improved enough to allow the use of resin material in posterior or back teeth and make for a very natural looking smile.
CROWNS & BRIDGES
When a tooth is cracked, broken or damaged from decay a crown may need to be placed onto the tooth to restore the tooth properly. A crown is a long-term covering that fits over the original tooth. Crowns can be made of porcelain, gold and other metals. Crowns made of all porcelain typically have the most realistic appearance. Crowns can be used to whiten, reshape, and realign existing teeth, adding to a healthy and vibrant smile.
DENTAL IMPLANTS
A dental implant is a “root” device, usually made of titanium, used in dentistry to support restorations that resemble a tooth, or group of teeth, to replace missing teeth. Dental implants can be used to support a number of dental prostheses, including, crowns, implant-supported bridges or dentures.
Dental implants placed today appear to be similar to an actual tooth root and are placed within the bone. The bone of the jaw accepts and osseointegrates (fuses) with the titanium post to allow proper placement of dental prostheses. Dental implants will allow you again to speak and eat with comfort and confidence.
